This facility is really beautiful, warm and welcoming, and so is their stuff.

I have been very impressed with the new leadership and nursing team at Central Island. I see positive change sparked by a passionate and committed administrator Roy, supported by a dedicated and compassionate nursing team, led by John and Breanne. Besides their great clinical skills, Dr. Shirazi and Tamieka are empathetic and true advocates for their patients! Dorothy in recreation has a smile and warmth that is contagious! Jeanette goes above and beyond for her residents! Highly recommend Central Island!

The therapist is nice and like help

Do Not take your loved ones here. The first experience here was great in 2019. This time is horrible. They’re drugging patients to stay asleep and they’re telling residents that they have to use their diapers 4x before changing them. I took my father out and had him drug tested. He is usually alert and after a day of admission he couldn’t even wake up after attempting several times. The staff is rude and I hope that one day they encounter someone as rude as them when they’re as vulnerable as their patients. We had to fight to have my father transferred to the hospital with chest pains when the nurse said it’s muscle spasms when in fact he was having a heart attack.
